Zaneta Filipovska developed an eye for fashion when she was a 16 year old studying Year 10 at Paisley High School. Back then, it was the desire to wear the very latest look with her own unique twist that sent her off to Saturday morning dressmaking classes.
Today, Zaneta spends as much time designing & making clothes for others as she does for herself.
Zaneta's talent for designing and making elegant gowns has landed her some high profile assignments:
She has won a preliminary award for the NRA Australian Fashion Design Awards in 2002.
Whilst studying Fashion Illustration at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, she was invited to model her Spanish Princess creation for the Melbourne Fringe Festival at the Metro Night Club.
On another occasion, she designed and made a dress for actor, Lisa MCune. "She used to be on Blue Heelers and the dress was supposed to be for a Christmas Party for the show. She liked the dress and kept it."
Zaneta's daughter Julia is as enthusiastic about co-ordinating colours & fabric used for the designs like her mother. Julia also loves to model her mother's creations at Fashion Parades!
